Now that the cold weather is slowly making itself felt, it is time to start taking precautions!
Just as we dress warmly to avoid winter illnesses such as the flu and cold, protect ourselves from the cold, and seek healing in mugs of herbal tea and honey, we should also care for our skin in the same way these days.
Those who already have sensitive skin have already realized the seriousness of the situation, their hands have started to dry, their faces have flaked, their lips have started to crack due to cold. As you can imagine, almost all of us experience similar problems.
Well, isn't there a natural solution to prevent these problems?
Oh no, here is a homemade moisturizing cream recipe that will protect your skin like a shield in cold weather!
To prevent your face and hands from drying out and cracking: Homemade moisturizing cream recipe
Materials:
1 cup olive oil
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup beeswax (You can find it on online sales sites as "natural beeswax used in cosmetics")
15-20 drops of essential oil (You can choose an oil whose scent you like, such as lavender oil, lemon oil, rose oil)
1-2 ampoules of vitamin E (Optional)
How To?
When starting the homemade moisturizing cream recipe, act according to the beeswax. If the beeswax you bought is in small pieces, you can use it that way. If you have a large, single piece of beeswax, you can first cut it into small pieces with a knife or grate it.
Once all the ingredients are ready, take a large glass bowl and pour the coconut oil, olive oil, and beeswax into it.
Then take a pot that is wide enough to fit the glass bowl on and fill it with water about 2-3 fingers deep and boil it. Place the glass bowl on the boiling water and melt the ingredients in the glass bowl with the steam rising from the water. Mix the ingredients well with a wooden spoon while melting so that the ingredients you melted using the bain-marie method are thoroughly mixed together.
When the beeswax is completely melted and all the ingredients are mixed homogeneously, remove the glass bowl from the boiling water and drop 15-20 drops of the essential oil of your choice into it. (You can drop less as some essential oils have a very strong aroma, it's your choice)
Finally, if you want to benefit from the antioxidant effect of vitamin E, you can add vitamin E ampoules, which you can find in pharmacies, to the mixture.
After mixing all the ingredients well one last time, transfer them to a glass jar with an airtight lid and wait for it to cool and solidify.
Keep your cooled homemade moisturizer in a sealed container.
How to Use?
You can use this moisturizing cream that you have prepared with your own hands at home, at any time of the day. You can safely apply the cream all over your body, especially your hands and face, and if you wish, you can put it in several separate glass jars and carry it in your bag, leave it at your workplace and use it at home.
However, be careful, if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in the cream, you should never use this cream. If you have sensitive, allergic skin, do not try the cream on your entire body immediately after preparing it, try it on a small area such as the inside of your arm and wait 24 hours. If you do not observe any reaction after 24 hours, use it, but if you experience complaints such as redness or itching, you should clean your skin thoroughly and stop using the cream immediately.
So why these ingredients: coconut oil, olive oil, beeswax, essential oil and vitamin E

We decided to prepare a moisturizing cream at home, we brought the ingredients together and made a cream with the right consistency. But why did we use these ingredients?
Olive oil , as you know, is one of the healthiest oils in the world. Apart from its benefits to all parts of the body, it also provides great benefits to our skin. Thanks to the vitamins and minerals it contains, it keeps the skin moist and keeps it young thanks to its antioxidant properties.
If you ask how it works, when the strong antioxidant properties of olive oil come into play, toxins, that is, harmful substances that enter our body, are removed from the body before they can damage our cells. When this is the case, the formation of spots and wrinkles on our skin is delayed. As you can see, we use olive oil because we want to achieve both an anti-aging effect and moisturize our skin.
As for the rising star of recent years, coconut oil, it has intense moisturizing properties. In other words, it is just the right fit for this recipe. In addition, it also has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Thanks to these properties, it can fight acne and pimples. All we have to do is enjoy the smoothness while moisturizing our skin.
The reason we use beeswax is that it is one of the most natural alternatives that can give consistency to the cream we will make.
Likewise, the main purpose of the essential oil you will add is to give the cream a pleasant scent. However, depending on the type of oil you choose, you can also get different benefits from this oil, especially moisturizing.
Finally, if you add vitamin E ampoules to your cream, you can benefit from vitamin E's powerful antioxidant properties, anti-wrinkle effects, and ability to heal blemishes, scars, and wounds more quickly.
