Instant messaging application WhatsApp is launching a new feature.
Taking into account the complaints of its users, WhatsApp will now be able to transcribe incoming voice messages very easily.
With the update, it was announced that it will be gradually available worldwide in the coming weeks with a small number of language options. While it was stated that English, Portuguese, Spanish and Russian languages will be available in the beginning; it was also stated that the number of languages will increase in the coming period.
WILL BE CREATED SPECIALLY
When a voice message is transcribed, the transcripts will be privately created on the person's device only, meaning no one else, including WhatsApp itself, will be able to see the content thanks to end-to-end encryption.
HOW TO USE?
In order to use the feature, you will need to activate the new feature by going to Settings > Chats > Voicemail Transcripts. After these steps are completed, it was also stated that transcripts can be easily opened and the transcript language can be selected. In order to use the feature, it was stated that the transcript of the voicemail can be seen by holding down on a voicemail and tapping the "Translate to text" button.
