- 1bundlespring onion
For Coating Mortar:
- 1water glassreputation
- 1pinchsalt
- 1pinchblack pepper
- 1water glassmineral water(cold)
For Frying:
- 1.5water glassoil
For the Sauce:
- 4tablespoonoil(hot)
- 5tablespoonsoy sauce
- 1tablespoonhoney
- 3tablespoonapple cider vinegar
- 1dessert spoonsesame(roasted)
How to Make Crispy Spring Onion Recipe?
- Cut the white and thick parts of the spring onions into matchstick lengths. Keep the remaining soft and green parts aside for the sauce.
- For the coating mixture, mix the flour, salt, pepper and cold mineral water in a bowl. Be careful not to do this for too long, so you will have a fluffier coating.
- Heat the oil in a medium-sized, slightly deep pan over medium-low heat.
- Dip the spring onions into the coating mixture and fry in hot oil for 1-2 minutes until they take on color. During the frying stage, you can add a little of the coating mixture onto the onions and obtain a fluffier outer layer.
- Place the fried onions on a paper towel and lightly salt them.
- For the sauce, cut the green parts of the spring onion into small pieces and place in a deep bowl. Add hot frying oil, soy sauce, honey and vinegar and blend. Put the sauce in a serving bowl and cover with roasted sesame seeds.
- Place the crispy onions on a serving plate and serve with the sauce on the side. Enjoy!
